Orly 'Rage'

Oh, how I love my nail polish.  If you get to know me well enough, you'll eventually find out that I am a bit of a nail polish junkie.  I am not even sure how many nail polishes I have and yet, I keep collecting more.  It always makes me feel a little better to look down at my fingers and toes and see them nicely painted (I really dislike chipped nails - always touching them up.)  That being said,  this is the famous Orly 'Rage'.

Orly's "Rage" is usually described as a metallic rose gold polish.  Personally, I never get why rose gold always has hints of silver in it and no gold - but maybe that's just me.  This is indeed a gorgeous metallic polish - almost like a foil.  It is has a fairly thin consistency but the colour comes mostly from the loads of extremely fine/tiny metallic glitter that makes up the polish - which are pink and silver.

I prefer to have 2 coats of this polish to give it an even and completely opaque look but you could easily get away with 1 if you wanted to.   Because it is mostly fine glitter, it dries quicker than the average polish.  It has no 'roughness' that some glitters tend to have as the glitter is IN the polish and not layered throughout.  It is simple to get off though a few stray flecks of glitter may be left behind on your skin.

Overall, I adore this colour.  It works as a perfect neutral metallic for my skin tone.  It's a nice touch to silver and it looks warmer than a bright silver metallic would.  I cannot get enough of this colour and I can see why it's so popular with so many people.  If you like metallics, this may be one to look out for.

For all you Canadian girls, Orly is not the easiest to find - I know I never see it at my local drugstores.  But if you have a Shopper's Drug Mart near you, Orly does a line of nail polishes for Quo (exclusive to Shoppers) and they have a shade called 'First Class'.  As far as I can tell, 'First Class' is 'Rage' only repacked for Quo and with a black lid.  It could be a half shade darker but when I looked at them side by side, they looked the same to me.
(Nicole by OPI also has a few rose gold shades that swatch exactly like 'Rage'.)

What do you think of this colour?  Would you wear it?

xo, Chanel
