Trending: Neon Accessories (Spring 2012)

I LOVE neon.  I cannot express to you how much neons draw me in.  I am a sucker for bright and beautiful.  It's fantastic!  I am in love with all the neon accessories that are in all the shop fronts recently.  I'll admit I might have gone just a tad bit crazy.  Don't judge me - I adore brights!  With that being said, I thought I'd share a few things I've seen / bought / stumbled upon for those of you interested in adding a few trendy neon pieces to your spring / summer 2012 wardrobe.  Nothing says "bring on the sun" like a neon!

Forever 21

At forever 21, I stumbled across some tiered floral earrings.  These lovely things are under $5 and come in Hot Pink/Gold as well as Chartreuse/Gold.  They are light weight and bright.  I own both - since I couldn't decide.  The pink is definitely more wearable but the chartreuse is just beautiful.  You can see those here.
Though I did not pick up the following, they had beaded bracelets (in a set of 3) in neon yellow, neon green and neon pink in stores (here) as well as a pyramid cuff bracelet in neon yellow (here) for those of you who enjoy layering bracelets.

Forever 21 also has a great range of color-block-esque necklaces in vibrant colors like their "colorblocked fringe necklace" (here) - that pinks up on a few trends - and this punk-ish pink/black "painted colorblock necklace" (here).

Aldo

Nothing screams "look at me" like all neons in a window.  Aldo has successfully integrated Fuschia (neon pink) and Peach Yellow (hightlighter yellow/chartreuse) into their spring 2012 line.  Take a look at their Benejan bracelet ($12 ~ $15) in both pink (here) and yellow (here).  I also picked up a bright and beautiful neon pink, gold and chartreuse chain necklace that I can't seem to find online but is great as an accent piece.
Aldo is first and foremost a shoe company and they have a handful on neon shoes from flats to pumps to nudes with neon accents (here).  My only advice is to invest in shoe protectant if you go for a 'neon yellow' shoe as it will get dirty easily.
For those who collect purses, check out this cross body bag (here).  It's small-medium sized makes it perfect for a gal on the go.  It has enough space to hold the essentials without being as small as the clutch mentioned below.
Finally, something I could not resist and love is the Hord clutch.  This clutch comes in a "medium pink" (seen here or here) - which can be a little over-the-top if you don't play it right - but I purchased it in a neon yellow-green (aka "peach yellow") (here). Think highlighter yellow meets chartreuse green for $35.

p.s.: I know these aren't neon but I really want these pumps that come in teal / fuschia and black - can't decide between pink / teal (found here).

Spring
For neon shoes, belts and earrings - as well as a bit of marble coloring check out Spring.  They have some bright and interesting pieces in their 'neon' trend section (here).

H&M

I saw these crazy shoes at H&M.  These are simple enough from the front but turn sideways and bam! Neon green hits you.  These are made out of a wetsuit material - which is interesting in itself - but the color makes it that much more stunning. Comes in sizes 5 - 9.  Find them here.

ASOS
So the only shop I can't physically walk into but have looked at and drooled over is ASOS.  From fluoro skinny belts (here) to two-toned neon hooped earrings (here) to bright neon watches (here), ASOS has a little bit of everything for everyone.  Free Worldwide shipping makes it that much more convenient (but beware of duty/tax - it makes up for free shipping). Personally, I've been eyeing this Lazer Cut Zip Top Clutch that comes in Pink (as seen above) and yellow (here).

Overall, you can tell that neons are definitely here for the spring.  I, personally, love these bright colours and am glad to accent my basic white, black and browns with these bright pops of colour.

What do you think of the Neon Trend? Love it? Hate it?  Leave a comment below.  Plus, please tell me if you like 'info' posts like this.  Thanks!
