Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner Set in Electric: Review & Swatches

It's been a while since I picked up this travel set from Sephora - around Christmas was when it was released - but it's taken me this long to swatch it all.  First off, I have to say I have always liked Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners.  They are pigmented, long wearing and don't shift around once they set.  These are the types of creamy pencil liner that you can smudge out or use to tight line.  I believe all of these colours are available through Urban Decay's permanent line.

The set (one of 2 set's available - the other was a neutral set) is focused on vibrant and electric colours.  It comes with 5 travel sized liners.  The set comes with Perversion (blackest black - darker than Zero), Ransom (purple), Woodstock (bright pink), Junkie (turquoise) and Radium (bright blue).
As the packaging says, these are creamy, waterproof liners. They are extremely pigmented and vibrant.  The newest colour in this set is Perversion which is Urban Decay's blackest black.  Though Zero is marketed as 'black', Perversion is a true jet black - no lightness around the edges.
They glide on beautifully, smudge out easily if needed but once they dry/set, they do not budge on my oily lids until I use make up remover.  I love Perversion for tight lining.  As for the rest of the colours, Ransom and Junkie I like to use on my upper lash line, while Woodstock and Radium look best on my lower lash line.
R to L: Perversion, Junkie, Radium, Randsom, Woodwink
As you can see in the above swatches (which are pretty true to colour), these are one short line of colour.  I tried to swatch these from most opaque to last.
  • Perversion is a true creamy jet black.  Great for a smudged out smoky eye or tight lining.
  • Junkie is a turquoise - blue-toned green - with golden shimmer. It isn't gritty at all and glides on like butter.  Great for a pop of colour on the upper lash line.
  • Radium is a electric dark sky blue.  Personally, I love this on my lower lash line paired with a simple black winged liner.
  • Randsom is a metallic violet-purple.  It is one of the more sheer colours of the set but is easily buildable.  I love this on my upper lash line with a light purple smoky eye.
  • Woodstock is a bright magenta-pink. Again, this runs a bit sheer but it's a-ok by me. I like this on the outer 1/2 of my lower lash line as a pop of colour or as a base for brighter colours on my eyelid (over a primer).  Pink is a hard colour for me to wear so this is probably the only one of the 5 I would not re-purchase.

Overall, I still love Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils and will continue to purchase them.  I love Perversion and Junkie the most - I'd like Randsom more if it was more opaque but overall I love these colours.  Radium is beautiful but there are similar shades for less.  Still it stays put!  Woodstock is the hardest to wear...

Have you tried UD liners?  Which is your favourite?

  1. What a great set! Junkie and Randsom are my favorite but I would probably get the most use out of Perversion, it so black! And Woodstock is crazy! Great post and really nice swatches:)
