MAC: Tour de Fabulous Lipglass: Swatches & Review

I'd like to welcome to the Tour de Fabulous Lipglass to my ever growing MAC collection.  According to the beauty gurus - and swatches I did myself at the store - this lipglass is a fairly good dupe if not complimentary shade for the limited edition matte lipstick, Flamingo, from the Iris Apfel collection.  I would have to agree.  The Tour de Fabulous collection was named after this one shade and with good reason.  I feel as if this would be flattering on most if not all skin tones.

After hearing tones about all the limited edition collections coming out, I figured that I had to get my hands on something.  I logged onto maccosmetics.com and did my research.  The collections are all sold out where I live - the majority of colors sold out within a few hours to a few days after release.  I was so excited when I received this in the mail.  I am a proud MAC cosmetic buyer (yay Canadian cosmetic brands! MAC was created and is still manufactured in Toronto, Canada.)

The consistency of this lipglass is like most other lipglasses - thick, creamy and a little sticky.  I do love the color though.  Tour de Fabulous is a creamy pinky-coral with shimmer particles that pick up light and shine in a rainbow of colours.  Overall a gorgeous shade.  I would recommend prepping your lips with lip balm before wearing this shade as it made highlight any dry skin.  It goes on fairly opaque and you don't necessarily need a lipstick underneath - it looks great on it's own.

The packing is the typical lipglass doe-foot applicator.  And what you see in the bottle, is what you get on your lips.  I would say this is one of those colors that changes slightly based on the lighting you have - but is overall a gorgeous shade.  I'm very happy to have this in my collection.
